Hiwinui Heke Maori Pharmacy Student Scholarship
The Maori Pharmacists’ Association (MPA) together with PHARMAC have established three scholarships for pharmacy students under the heading, "Hiwinui Heke Scholarship."
The inaugural awards were presented in August 2008, to two students from the School of Pharmacy, University of Otago and one student from Auckland University School of Pharmacy.
Award recipients received their scholarships from Hiwinui Heke, one of the first Māori Pharmacists in New Zealand, at a function held at the Clock Tower, University of Otago, Dunedin.
