A karakia to start the day

From the beginning of this new day we acknowledge
the creator, and give thanks to you
For the nurturing and shelter,
that you gave to everyone,
right through the night that has just past
Under your protective cloak,
we gathered strength,
enabling us to face all the challenges,
that will come our way on this day
We give thanks to you,
for all the good things you have created,
which nourish the entire world.
The shinning of the sun.
The blowing of the wind.
The falling of the rain,
Which will help all things to grow
Feeding…
Invigorating…
The body, the mind and the spirit of all people
This is indeed the way it is,
and how it will be forever
